NU.nl is the biggest news website in the Netherlands, reaching over 8 million unique visitors every month. As product owner I am dedicated to improving our website and app, and more specifically the way in which our readers interact with our editors and our product. Contributed to a 5X growth in logged in users on NU.nl in my first year. Besides ‘bringing the donuts’, I love bringing together strategy, design, research, engineering and analytics to make sure we build the best product for our readers and editors.

Product Owner - Next Best Action, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
Within the Digital/e-commerce department of Air France - KLM responsible for ‘Next Best Action’, a recommendation engine aimed at making every customer interaction relevant and effective. Leading a team of engineers, as well as making sure that ‘NBA’ is implemented across all touch points in our digital ecosystem; accountable for the results of the system (multimillion revenue), which we improve through careful analysis and experimentation. Mentor for TU Delft Design Doing MSc course.

Product Manager ODS / Manager KLM X, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
Started at ‘Operations Decision Support’ as manager of a portfolio of digital decision support tools and services, some of which are commercially exploited to other airlines as part of a partnership between the Boston Consulting Group and KLM. Since end of 2018, added responsibility for ‘KLM X’, a team that ideates, prototypes and validates new innovations in a live operational context using design thinking and lean start-up methodologies. Focused on bringing human-centered design, data and product development together in order to make data work for our employees and customers.

Four assignments: (1) Project Manager web services and enterprise architecture, (2) Product Owner Big Data Platform at Passenger Operations, (3) Product Owner API developer portal at Digital Strategy, (4) Team Manager Business Intelligence. Delivered solutions that keep making impact today, including 'Flight 720', a data platform that powers (real-time) operational decision making every second of every day.

Location Assistant ‘Layla M.’, Topkapi Films; Amsterdam
As a location/production assistant I was involved with the production of the movie ‘Layla M’, which was the Dutch submission for the Academy Awards, and was nominated for four ‘Gouden Kalveren’. I learned a lot about collaboration in a creative environment (movie set) in which timing and coordinated execution are critical.

The Young Advisory Group (YAG) is a student-run strategic consultancy agency, and provides advise to a variety of organizations, supported by top-tier consulting firms. At YAG, I participated in a project for a large multinational, and was in charge of a project for a Dutch ministry, involving the concept development of an online coaching platform. In addition, I was in charge of the transition to a new website and branding for the YAG. Other responsibilities included marketing, human resources, and acquisition/sales activities.
